About the year
In recent years, we have had to contend with periods of drought; however, in 2023, there was no shortage of rainfall, and the prolonged showers made much of the vineyard work more difficult. The winter was relatively mild, with average temperatures above the norm and a moderate amount of precipitation. The spring was slightly cooler than expected, followed by a sufficiently warm summer, often accompanied by extended periods of rain. Unfortunately, these conditions favored vine diseases, requiring careful attention to plant protection.
During the harvest, the variable weather made our work challenging; on several occasions, the grapes could only be harvested in stages from our vineyards, which was a real challenge for our team.
