Tasting notes

Bock’s Placido Domingo Selection wine is a bordeaux-like blend selected by Placido Domingo from József Bock’s cellar. Alongside its velvety full body, this special cuvée is also characterised by pleasant acids. In flavour, sour cherries and ripe fruits dominate, but due to its being matured in oak barrels, chocolate and vanilla also appear.

About the year

2012 was a year of extreme cold and hot temperatures. The winter freeze was followed by a long, dry spring and summer. The extra warmth brought early budding and an early vintage. The year produced wines of outstanding quality and high alcohol content.
